Visale: what is it?
Entirely free, Visale is a student rental deposit. It allows students who do not have a guarantor to strengthen their file with a guarantee of payment of their rent.
Who can benefit from the Visale guarantee?
- To anyone between 18 and 30 years old (regardless of professional status).
- To foreigners:
- If you are a citizen of the European Union, all you need is a student card and a valid passport. If you are not a citizen of the European Union, then you must have a long term residence permit (residence card, long term visa)
- To any person eligible for a mobility lease and for all households housed by a rental intermediation organization
- If you are over 30 years old and you are an employee of a private or agricultural company (or if you have a promise of employment), then the Visale guarantee application can be made either up to 6 months after you take up your position (excluding confirmed permanent contracts), or up to 6 months after your transfer.
For which type of housing does the Visale guarantee apply?
The accommodation, furnished or not, must be your main residence and must be the subject of a lease law 89. The rent must not exceed a certain amount: 1300€ charges included for an apartment outside the region Ile de France and 1500€ charges included for an apartment in the Ile de France. Finally, the accommodation must comply with the Departmental Health Regulations (RSD).
What is the process?
The whole process is done online. You must first create your personal space and then fill out several fields about your situation (contact information, marital status). Finally, you will have to download the required documents and validate your request. You can follow the progress of your file online. If your application is accepted, you will be informed of the availability of your visa by email or SMS. You will be able to download it via your personal space. Please note that the duration of your Visale visa depends on your situation: it varies between 3 and 6 months.
